 Description

In AdminCentral, using TAB to cycle though the controls doesn't select them all.
You can't therefore use the interface using keyboard-only.

Hi Steve,

Magnolia 5.0 will feature a much better and complete keyboard support. We might try to tackle a few basic ones in 4.4, but the timeframe is short. Patches would definitely help getting this in.

Cheers!

Hi Steven,

thanks for your input. Yes, M5 will support keyboard and touch input as well as the mouse. The goal is to make Magnolia easier, more consistent and faster to use and make it more accessible at the same time.

I'm currently in the process of defining some basic usage patterns for all input methods; you can find my continuously updated work in the User Experience space of our wiki:

http://wiki.magnolia-cms.com/display/UX/Home

The pages currently concentrate on defining Magnolia-related usage and do not cover any more common, broader topics yet like the definition of a TAB cycle, as well as user-specific font sizes and colours, but my idea is to get all of this in.

I appreciate any comments or further feedback you have. You may use your JIRA account to also log in to our Confluence wiki, which then allows you to leave comments on any of these pages.

Thanks
Andreas

Given the thousands of other issues we have open that are more highly requested, we won't be able to address this issue in the foreseeable future. Instead we will focus on issues with a higher impact, and more votes.
Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. As you are no doubt aware this issue has been on our backlog for some time now with very little movement.
I'm going to close this to set expectations so the issue doesn't stay open for years with few updates. If the issue is still relevant please feel free to reopen it or create a new issue.
