 Description

MAGNOLIA-3121 introduced the ability to organize users into folders. This feature needs to be improved before it is usable.

  • Allow nesting of folders. Currently you cannot create a folder inside another folder.
  • Enable the Move command so that users can be moved in and out of folders.
  • Enable the Move command so that folders can be moved in and out of folders.
  • MAGNOLIA-3121 suggests that folders can have security settings. If you edit a folder and assign it to a group or role, users in that folder do not inherit the permissions. How is the security supposed work?
  • When you double-click a folder, the Edit User dialog is displayed. This is probably not the right dialog for folders. Please implement a new dialog that allows you to assign folder security.

Given the thousands of other issues we have open that are more highly requested, we won't be able to address this issue in the foreseeable future. Instead we will focus on issues with a higher impact, and more votes.
Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. As you are no doubt aware this issue has been on our backlog for some time now with very little movement.
I'm going to close this to set expectations so the issue doesn't stay open for years with few updates. If the issue is still relevant please feel free to reopen it or create a new issue.
