 Description

If the Adblocker Add-On is installed on Firefox and you click into the dotted area of a component placeholder, the dialog that opens is not topped. Actually, it very shortly appears, then is put into the background. Note that clicking on the "Plus" icon in the bar of the same placeholder does not cause this effect - this seems to be related to how we've implemented the click inside the dotted area.

I'm usually disabling all add-ons when running user tests, but forgot Adblocker. Since it is a very common plug-in, I think we should have a look at this at least, although I don't consider it a top priority.

Attaching a video demonstrating it. The dialog actually appears very briefly, but that can't be seen on the video.

I'm clicking three timee, so three "Create new component" dialogs are opened.

Adding a third issue caused by the way we're currently catching the click inside the dotted area of a placeholder.

Given the thousands of other issues we have open that are more highly requested, we won't be able to address this issue in the foreseeable future. Instead we will focus on issues with a higher impact, and more votes.
Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. As you are no doubt aware this issue has been on our backlog for some time now with very little movement.
I'm going to close this to set expectations so the issue doesn't stay open for years with few updates. If the issue is still relevant please feel free to reopen it or create a new issue.
