 Description

In Magnolia 4.5, the operations for deleting a component and for removing an optional area are located on the component or area edit bar (Magnolia 5 will move away such destructive operations from the edit bar). These two groups of buttons should be properly separated from each other in order to avoid the accidental deletion of elements.

In particular:

  • "delete" and "remove" (and similar operations) shall be followed by enough whitespace to visually separated them from "new", "edit" and "move".
  • if feasible, all buttons with destructive and those with non-destructive operations should be grouped together in a button bar.

The last change improves clarity (imagine the three buttons "remove", "new" and "edit" sitting next to each other) and actually gains some space as well.

The attached mockups show a preferred solution.
