| Description |
|
When installing magnolia 2.1 war files downloaded from sourceforge, the configuration of magnoliaAuthor comes with a subscriber configured for port 8081. However, Apache Tomcat by default runs its applications on port 8080. |

We use this for the bundled release (where tomcat has the port 8081 assigned) It will be false for one or the other until we find a better solution. Perhaps we make 8080 default. But then we must always fix it for the bundled release. |

How about assuming that the user does not have tomcat running, and that port 8080 is available for the bundled release? My guess is that the utilitarian gain of this is greater. Perhaps a lot of developers have tomcat installed, but very few are constantly running it if they are on a Windows system. Linux users probably prefer the war file release anyway. |
