 Description

Story: for corporate website we have more domain names like www.magnolia-cms.com or conference.magnolia-cms.com . currently there is now way how to use virtualurimapping to redirect from one domain to another including domain name change (e.g. www.magnolia-cms.com/conference > conference.magnolia-cms.com). there is a workaround to use redirect page template (because redirect page change domain name to new one) and then add virtualURIMapping to this redirect, but its still not perfect.

Story2: in root we have /conference and here is pointing domain conference.magnolia-cms.com but in that case there is nothing after slash, so is not possible to define "fromURI". We would like to redirect this page to child /conference/2015 . there is workaround with use of HostBasedVirtualURIMapping but in this case we have to setup all existing domains name.

Solution: I would like to have Default and Regex virtualurimappings where you can optionally use "fromHost" and "toHost"

Example:

class ...
fromHost www.magnolia-cms.com
fromUri /confernce(.*)
toHost conference.magnolia-cms.com
toUri /
