 Description

This property can be used for date formatting on websites (anonymous or public users).
The user implementation can be extended in UI admincentral to resolve the user browser timezone if none is preconfigured.

I suggest we follow this concept for handling timezones:

  • * ...
  • On the actual website, the choice should be up to site developer/customer/partner. He should have the possibility and no obstacles, to show dates and times:
    • in the timezone as they are stored on the server
    • in a hard-coded timezone defined for the site (e.g. a car hiring company in central europe hard codes the timezone to CET).
    • in the timezone guessed from the location a visitor surfs from or derived from browser settings.
