Template:
Epic Name: Simpler YAML Configurations
Acceptance criteria:
Empty

 Description
  • Java fully-qualified class names are quite daunting to configure
  • while some of our definitions (content apps most critically) inherently require too much boilerplate to get started.

Goals:

  • Conventionally support versatile aliases for Java definitions (target type-based suffix)
  • A flatter app descriptor for typical content apps

Benefits:

  • Easier onboarding with YAML configuration
  • Easier to remember snippets to achieve common tasks
  • Less overhead to learn about Magnolia-specific app components
