There are some scenarios where it would be necessary for messages app to extend its functionality by letting only logged in users receive messages. For example, in case of informing about specific situations such as a system shutdown or server reboot. That's the reason why it would be interesting to add a new scope to the current list:

jayala, I would say the feature request to be able to understand the current number of logged in users is very different to what this ticket describes (which allows sending messages to different groups of users). May I please ask you to check:
