I am trying to setup Magnolia DX Core using the Magnolia CLI (pre-bundled tomcat). On my old laptop this was fast, easy and always worked perfectly. Now I got a new MacBook with Apple Silicon and after jumpstarting Magnolia, I start it and then Magnolia crashes (see hs_err_pid5601.log FYI: The platform of my JDK is arm64. Steps to reproduce
Expected resultsAfter the usual message that the Server start in xy milliseconds I expected Magnolia to be up and running. Actual resultsthe usual message that the Server start in xy milliseconds and when I try to access the Author instance, Magnolia crashes. Development notesI have already contacted Tobias Kerschbaum and he proposed to try removing Periscope from the dependencies. So I removed the following jars:
from the directories below:
Then I got the following exception and Magnolia crashed again: |

The partner reported by mail that it worked now. The solution was to remove only the jar "magnolia-periscope-result-ranker-1.2.1.jar" instead of all three. |
