If you pull up the app switcher with Alt+Shift, you are unable to select an app and/or remove the switcher from the screen. It's stuck on the screen. You can only toggle between the apps. |

It's been a while since this issue was first opened... I can say that, it is still an issue...the only way to correct this, is to close the browser...
BUT...It works on Chrome 70 and fails(same manifestation of the issue) on Firefox Quantum 60.3.0esr |

Hi jkamwena- Yes, I know. Unfortunately there has been too many other higher prio tickets in front of this one. I don't see us getting to this any time soon. I might try and put a fix out there on a SNAPSHOT if I can find some time for it. In the mean time you might want to consider switching to the built-in keyboard shortcuts. If you look at the section on Global mode you will see you can use the keys 0 & 9 to switch between apps as well. HTH |

Thanks for pointing that out! We are currently developing on the 5.7 platform and planning a site release sometime in January/February...Should we remove this module until a correctly fixed module is released? |

Yes, that might be a good idea but it won't hurt anything to have it there. IIRC I believe the error was some JavaScript issue. I'll try and get to it soon. |

After digging into this a little bit I am wondering if this is related to the Alt+Shift keyboard language toggle. See https://superuser.com/questions/698037/can-i-disable-the-altshift-shortcut-to-change-language-in-windows-8-1-or-win. This video explains very nicely how to disable it. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ15xqj2jbo Another thing to consider is does it work with Right Alt+Shift since the language toggle for windows is tied directly to Left Alt+Shift. If so, then users could have both options enabled. |

Hi jkamwena- So after some investigation here is what I found. I am using Windows 10 and M5.7.1
So only in Firefox (32-bit edition) is it broken. If you update to the latest version of Quantum that should also work as well. However, I did notice that Alt+Shift does interfere with keyboard language selection. As I am selecting apps it's toggling language at the same time. So you can either turn that feature off in Windows or reassign the keys for it in Windows. Or, of course, you can uninstall the appswitcher and use the other shortcuts as we talked about. So for these reasons I cam going to close this issue as outdated. At this point it doesn't make much sense to try and back support these older versions of FF. I hope one of these workarounds is suitable for you. Kind Regards |
