If you had 6 UI app with a linkField to the categories. That app may now cause exceptions when you try to save or edit an item, due to the fact that categories app is now 6 UI instead of 5 UI. You will need to update the linkFields in your 6 UI app. If your link field looked like this:
tourTypes:
$type: jcrMultiValueField
type: String
itemProvider:
$type: currentItemProvider
field:
$type: linkField
chooser:
workbenchChooser:
appName: categories
You just need to remove itemProvider, so it should look like this:
tourTypes:
$type: jcrMultiValueField
type: String
field:
$type: linkField
chooser:
workbenchChooser:
appName: categories
