 Description

As a developer, I want to create an app which displays content from an external system via a content type, so that I can easily include external content in my project.

As a content author, I want to view content from an external system in an app so that I can see all of the content that I need to do my job.

For example: Author can browse a subset of a product catalog stored in a PIM (Product information managment).

Acceptance Criteria:

  • I can create the content type with configuration alone.
  • I can connect to external content via REST.
  • I can configure a connection to external content systems in under 15 minutes.
  • Apps for external content can only read, no editing, deleting, moving, copying, publishing is allowed. The actionbar should not display any of these actions. Ideally this would be a default for apps for "external content types" - but it is acceptable if this has to be manually configured as well.
  • Works with light development.
