 Description

The "crop" soft mode (meaning: you can exit it easily by just clicking on another action, which automatically cancels the started "crop" action) is great, as it doesn't keep you trapped in a mode, but it is also a bit confusing currently, since there's no obvious way to cancel the crop.

I'd thus like to:

  • Add a dark gray "Cancel" button to the left of "Crop image", which cancels the action as well
  • Change the "Crop image" action in the action bar to have an "enabled" state, i.e. it remains green as long as we're cropping.
  • Change the status bar below the image to become light gray, when a soft mode is active
  • But still retain: clicking on any other action cancels the crop

This is shown in the attached screen shot as well.

I'd like to discuss if clicking on an "enabled" "Crop image" action again:

  • restarts/reset the crop action, or rather:
  • actually executes a crop

Having the "Crop image" action to show its state depends on MGNLDAM-343, which asks for actions to optionally have an "enabled"/"not enabled" state.
