 Description

The current implementation of the actual crop operation has issues on tablet devices.

We should do the following:

  • make the crop handles larger so they can be properly grabbed on tablets
  • ensure that the actual crop rectangle is touch-enabled, so that you can move it around using a tap gesture

I've verified all these allegations on in Mobile Safari an iPad mini running iOS 7.0.4, but I couldn't reproduce them:

  • I can move the rectangle around using my finger
  • I can easily grab the handles to adjust them
  • I can tap anywhere to start a new, different crop rectangle.
  • also, the actual crop operation works fine.

I'm thus going to close this issue.

Boris mentioned that he's tested this on several devices. I'm reopening this issue so that we properly research that - this should be tested on several devices running several versions of iOS, even it we don't support all of them.

Raised severity to "critical" because demos depend on this working correctly.

Verified on DAM 2.0.1 (Magnolia 5.3.1) on an iPad with iOS 7.1.1 and though not perfect it seems to work reasonably well. Will put it off and lower priority.
