 Description

Several requests have been made for some way to see asset dependencies from the assets app. One solution would be to add a dependencies tab to the edit dialog so that the user can see which pages the asset is used on.

Other considerations:

  • Assets used within the ckEditor
  • Assets that have been modified by the imaging module

  • How should this look? Tab in edit dialog or extra view triggered on action "Show dependencies"?
  • what is the location for the code? Submodule of dam with dependency to both dam-app and content-dependencies or directly in MGNLCDEP?
  • what about the functionality? Showing/linking just pages from DAM in 5.3, but linking to all other apps as well in 5.4?

Functionality exists and is provided by content dependencies module already for a long time.
