 Description

"Move Action" Assets functionality has been removed in Magnolia 6.2.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to Dam app
  2. Select an asset and try to move it with the Move action in the action bar.

Expected behaviour

The Move action exists and the editor can use it for moving the asset.

Current behaviour

Move action is not available anymore in ActionBar

Workaround

Drag and Drop the asset in the browser view
Use Cut and Paste Actions instead of Move action
Include the action by decorating the app (see attached decoration file)

Developers notes

Include move action by default
Remove cut & paste (no visual feedback when cutting, inconsistent with other apps)

Even when this action is not available by default, assets can be moved by using Cut/Paste actions and also directly with the mouse dragging the asset to the specific place.

Our customers are missing this move action as well. It seems not intuitive enough to use cut and paste.

Our customer is also complaining about the missing possibility to cut / paste multiple items. Please put the move action back, also for multiple items. Users are not able to manage the items properly, and they are angry about it.

Hello Marvin, have you tried the workaround in this ticket? You should be able to include the Move Action back by using the attached decoration.
