When you create a custom data type the system creates a type definition, a tree item and a basic dialog. When you delete the data type the system only deletes the definition and tree item but leaves the dialog. It should delete the dialog too. |

I also noticed that issue when I played with Data plugin. Even after I deleted all custom types I created I still can see them in the main menu of Data plugin. May be there is a way to delete them from there? If you know that, please put it as workaraund here. |

The menu and its entries are configured at /modules/adminInterface/config/menu |

Thank you. I was able to remove configs for non-existing types. I think it should be done automatically during type deletion. |

Creating a new type creates these five nodes: (is this documented somewhere?)
You might have to remove some of them manually. |

I found last 4 by myself and removed them, but when I found that the custom types are still on the menu in Data Module, I added my comment here in this issue. Thank you for helping me find place #1 (/modules/adminInterface/config/menu/data/) where menu is configured. And to answer your question about documentation: no, it is not documented in official public documentation for Data Module. |

This is now documented in the Data module article. The doc lists the configuration nodes the system creates when a user creates a new data type. I also added a warning against creating a data type named config which would conflict and override the existing config menu definition. |
