 Description

There seems to be an issue with the Firefox browser only:

Uploading documents containing special characters in the filename to the dms fails to create the property nodes. Here are the steps to recreate the issue:

  1. Create a file locally that has special characters. In this case I will use an image. For example: magnolia-logo-äüö.png
  2. Upload the new file using the "New Document" button. (Opens the Magnolia Edit Dialog)
  3. Click "Save"
  4. Double click the file and reopen the Magnolia Edit Dialog
  5. Notice that you do not see a preview of your image (see screen shot)
  6. Switch the JCR Browser (Website) in Tools to point to the dms
  7. Browse to the node and notice it does not have any properties

I have noticed that adding special characters to the filename of a previously uploaded file seems to work ok. The problem only occurs when a file is brought in new with special characters in the filename.

This problem only occurs when using the Firefox browser.
