mmichel - I know that people must remove webdav when updating their bundles - if they have been using it.
(Due to changes in jackrabbit, jackrabbit no more supporting webdav.)

What can we say about the other add-on modules?
Must they removed, or would they still work when running with Magnolia 5.7.x?

Those are add-ons, meaning whether you use the module or not doesn't have any impact on their removal here. Think of those as the vouchers you get when some package gets delivered to you. It's just marketing.

I know that these are add-ons.
And I also mean to know that webdav will not work, so there was a need to remove it.
And I wondered how this is with the other modules mentioned here.

Ah, in this case, no, there is no known problem with those. They're just old and clog the bundles.
