Both the ETK pom.xml and module descriptor define a dependency for the Commenting module which is not required for the ETK module to build. This module descriptor dependency prevents a developer from excluding the forum module in an enterprise site that would benefit from multi-site config but otherwise does not need forum/commenting functionality. Perhaps I'm missing a special situation that requires the Commenting module? |

Hi Adam, No, you're entirely right, this dependency should be optional. |

Given the thousands of other issues we have open that are more highly requested, we won't be able to address this issue in the foreseeable future. Instead we will focus on issues with a higher impact, and more votes. |
