 Description

Hi, we got from different customers some complaints regarding our Honeypot Anti-spam functionality. It looks like "Honeypot" is not updated and not anymore protecting from SPAM Emails. A customer (Angst & Pfister) got daily for each form on the website 600 SPAM emails.

Can you please evaluate the possibility to integrate Google Recaptcha V3 into Magnolia?
One option would be to create an Incubator Module for this simple standard functionality.

Another option that I would like to suggest is to use the module that DotSource will probably develop for Angst & Pfister and use this one for our Marketplace. Maybe, if we don't have internal resources for the development, we could contribute to the development costs.

Thanks for your feedback.

reCAPTCHA v3 is already available in the Forge.

reCAPTCHA v3  light module does the trick. I also filed a PR https://github.com/rgange/magnolia-recaptcha-v3/pull/3 to bind reCAPTCHA to the form submit button without ultimately depending on Nashorn engine (removed from JDK as of version15). Making the functionality into the product itself would require more effort and is not a top priority afaik.

In the release notes let's be sure to give a credit to Patrick Diede from BIT IT.

Sure. FTR, regarding the issue with decorations and light modules containing dots in their name I filed MAGNOLIA-8036 and a PR

I didn't realize when I did those releases on github that it would concatenate the version like that. It makes sense but I didn't think about it. Cause this effects the name of the light module and essentially the paths of the resources. I need to do something about that.

Closing this ticket, as reCAPTCHA+v3  provides the required functionality. We will collate further feature requests or improvement suggestions via our Submit Your Idea portal.
