 Description

The way the group selector works is not intuitive.

I am not sure I understand the functionality completely because each Group has its own ID (why?).

I suggest to simply use a single text area to enter all group definitions, similar to the simplification we did for Labels and values. Let me know if the following would work:

---- Technology
High Tech:high-tech
Low Tech:low-tech
---- Insurance
Health Care:health care
Home:home
Car:car

The above example would mean you render a dropdown with two groups. If you need keys for the individual groups, you could use the same notation as for the field entry (but I don't see why you need them)

This would significantly reduce the complexity for the end user in building multi-select, grouped drop down menus and feel much more natural because it mirrors the way one would write such groups in text.

I have set this to blocker as the current way of doing it is not what I want to ship.

For the time being I would just drop that paragraph. The proposed solution is nice. Instead of using ---- I propose to simply use indentation.

Technology
    High Tech:high-tech
    Low Tech:low-tech
Insurance
    Health Care:health care
    Home:home
    Car:car

I like the indentation idea, it looks even more natural

Paragraph dropped for the moment, created a tag in svn to retrieve it later if needed.

it's fixed and very old.
