 Description

The Google Analytics module is enabled with a valid tracking code on the demo sites (author and public) but does not appear to be working. It does not inject the tracking code into the HTML.
The demopublic site is tracked in GA, but the tracking code is coming from the Marketing Tags app. When you delete the code in this app, tracking stops. Verified this in Magnolia’s GA account.

  • The GA module is included in the EE 5.4.3 tomcat bundles, but not the CE bundle.

I was able to get it working within STK and 5.4.4-SNAPSHOT. There are a couple of things you have to make sure though:

  1. You need to include the tracking-scripts in the site's/theme's config (which is done in STK)
  2. You need to enable the tracking config (and possibly provide a code)
  3. The config's node name has to match the site name; after creating a node named fallback (that extends the default) I got the tracking script to spit out my config's data. (Might be related to MULTISITE-51)

Tried on EE-5.4.4 (travel+STK).
