 Description

There are a couple of issues with the terminal app in the latest version:

  • I can't paste code, at least on Safari.
  • I can't select code or output from the terminal. (i.e to copy and re-paste in the terminal, or paste somewhere else)

realised that this works only on Chrome (on a Mac)

Unfortunately, it looks like there is no way to make this work on Safari and FF (haven't tried on IE). Our terminal lib uses this trick to copy data from the clipboard to the current console line http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2176861/javascript-get-clipboard-data-on-paste-event-cross-browser, however, for some reason the value in the underlying text area is always blank, except in chrome. The paste operation is correctly triggered on cmd+V, the textarea correctly gets the focus and thus should receive the pasted text but unfortunately this is not the case. I tried increasing the time before copying the text but to no avail.

Only works in Chrome (see my previous comment).

Let's keep it open, as a reminder that this does not work on all browsers. Hopefully it will be fixed somehow in the original lib, even though to me it looks more like some browser issue.

Issue solved only on chrome. Ticket has been cloned for the remaining browsers.
