 Description

Groovy Console does not render in IE8 - please see attached screenshot

Other issues experienced during installation:

  • the add-ons folder of the 4.3.8 installer bundle contains magnolia-module-groovy-1.1, but the jline jar (which seems necessary for installation) is not included.
  • in Magnolia Store in 4.3.8, the download links for the module download magnolia-module-groovy-1.0. This is in conflict with the add-ons folder.

Looks like IE8 does not like that jquery be loaded from an external site. In our case, this is accomplished by the following line of code <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script>. Might also be that this is related to some IE specific security settings. In any case, I'm going to replace the external jquery inclusion by serving the js via our usual .resources mechanism.

jline has compile-time scope and is not needed to install and run the module successfully.

Updated magnolia store in regard to groovy module details (version, download link and documentation)
