 Description

This is a parent ticket to capture whole ResultSupplier MVP.

I don't have anything to add in relation to the basics of the MVP.

I'll add my view on the path beyond the MVP, however, just in case some of it might be easier to implement than I assume. Although commands such as open, search, find are great—the stronger value comes the commands that would require more time by the author than those simple ones:

  • After a search command, enable the author to select the search result and tag all items
  • Find all articles tagged with "supergreen"
  • Find all pages created before [date]
  • Find all content items created by "BradtheBeast"
  • Open 3 last edited pages (opens all 3 tabs)
  • While on edited page (initiate workflow commands): "Send to approval" (passes item to next stage in a workflow, no need for author to go to Pulse)

In general, the batch selection and manipulation of selections is where I see the most immediate value (beyond the MVP).

In addition, creation commands would be convenient enough to work well, too:

  • Create blog post [tab] "Name of blog post" [ret] (start writing via the Stories app)
  • Create new tag [ret] "Name of tag" [ret] » notification of tag succesfully created

There are plenty of other commands that could be exceptionally time-saving for the author, this is just a sample set from my side.

Example of a previous exploration of this type of search. It shows this scenario:

User types: "Create collection" - presses tab
Name collection field appears
User writes name of collection and hits return
Collection is created, user is notified.
