 Description

Our templaters are asking for the following feature:

Allow Upload of ZIP-Files in Resources app (like in DAM)

Uploading several resources is a very common use-case for the templaters:

  • when adding javascript libraries (mega-wazoo-slider-widget) these come with a bunch of resources: js, css, images
  • when receiving designs from agencies, there are often folders with a large number of images - all the pics used by the design

At the moment each file has to be uploaded manually one-by-one... what a pain!

ZIP-Upload should:

  • preserve folder structure from ZIP file
  • replace resources with same name
  • handle js, css and binary resources

Hi,

Ok, my templaters have just told me they can now use webdav to upload resources, also multiple at a time. So for us the need for this feature is no longer so strong.

For users who can't use webdav it might still be a nice feature.

Hello Richard,

For users who can't use webdav it might still be a nice feature.
Sure, it shouldn't be big effort since MGNLUI-2370. Thank you for your idea.

Regards,
Roman
