| Description |
|
Currently the % charachter is used as a "Wildcard character that can be used in the search pattern to mean: zero or other additional characters."
But the usage of % is problamatic as it is used in URL encoding, so in practice a client must always use %25 instead. To avoid confusion and make "code" easier to understand, documentation and training easier, accept the * character as well and update all documentation to use the * syntax. The % character can still be used for "backwards compatibility".
