 Description

Update the default options for social bookmarking in STK. They are starting to get old. Anybody use Mr Wong (except for food)?

New options:

  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Reddit
  • Tumblr
  • StumbleUpon
  • Digg
  • Delicious

Fix also the Browser Bookmark option so it executes a cross-browser bookmarking script. Currently it doesn't bookmark anything out of the box.

Asked Timo at Aperto to make the update in STK 2.0. Entering a ticket so we don't forget to do this.

Bookmarks code is in /templating-kit/templates/content/textFeatures.ftl

Just a comment - wouldn't it be easier to integrate something like "AddThis" to handle this for you?

Hi - we've the same issue in our IT-tasklist, "social media linking". have you got a plan/idea, when magnolia will implement this features?

Regards

Hi guys, any updates on this issue? I just created a default STK forum page in my new Magnolia 5 installation and to my surprise this page includes the social bookmarks area with a (dead) link to Mr Wong. Nice bikinis though! http://www.mister-wong.de

Given the thousands of other issues we have open that are more highly requested, we won't be able to address this issue in the foreseeable future. Instead we will focus on issues with a higher impact, and more votes.
Thanks for taking the time to raise this issue. As you are no doubt aware this issue has been on our backlog for some time now with very little movement.
I'm going to close this to set expectations so the issue doesn't stay open for years with few updates. If the issue is still relevant please feel free to reopen it or create a new issue.
