 Description

We should add ie10 permutation to MagnoliaWidgetSet descriptor which would enable Magnolia 5 on both IE 10 and IE 11 (in compatibility mode).

Thanks for reporting this issue. It looks like GWT still doesn't support IE11 http://code.google.com/p/google-web-toolkit/issues/detail?id=8228 even though in the mentioned issue someone claims that this workaround in the page head section could be used <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=10" />

@Federico did you try our latest snapshot on IE11? Because the latest Vaadin upgrade we did (7.1.7) had some fixes for IE11 in its changelog. So I wonder if it was fixed in Vaadin or if we actually still miss a permutation in our widgetset.

@Mika nope, actually don't even have the env to test it As to permutations, afaik the closest currently available in GWT for IE is the one we use, that is ie9

Ok good you mention it, unfortunately I just set up a virtual Windows 8.1 with IE11 and indeed it doesn't work there, just a plain 404 right after login.

According to http://dev.vaadin.com/ticket/12634 it should be fixed since Vaadin 7.1.5, we use 7.1.7 in 5.2... Keeping investigating

git commit (as it currently doesn't properly link): https://git.magnolia-cms.com/gitweb/?p=magnolia_ui.git;a=commit;h=52564b605a38f79c57ff52d25805ddff0625a9e5

What version of 5.2 was this fixed in? We're experiencing trouble using Windows 8 IE 10 and 11 on a Magnolia 5.2.1 instance.
