I've assigned this to me as I'd like to properly research hybrid selection again, before we change anything here. Agreed upon with Pascal as well. |

No research result on this? If I understand correctly, Gmail selection is a pretty nice reference for such behavior. |

Yes. I've adapted the description of the linked issue http://jira.magnolia-cms.com/browse/MGNLUI-26 (some time ago) with the research. In essence, we can refrain from ticking the check box of an object-selected item, until we add another item to the selection by using either a modifier key or the check box. As soon as that happens, we have to tick the check boxes of all items in the selection. Please refer to |

We decided to keep it the way it currently works some time ago. This is basically an outdated issue - please re-open if you see this differently. |
