 Description

If you change a date property in website jcr browser, the change won't be saved. Instead the current time will be set.

There is no corresponding error message in the log. It is reproducable on the demoauthor instance.

The date property was in the past never meant to be directly edited via a JCR browser.
One reason is, that the user sees the time in his current local time, and not the real stored one (UTC).
This is done by the calendar field.

I will add this issue to the customer care, where it will be decided if this functionality will be added in the future.

Possible solution.

Just need test classes

The jcrPropertyAdapter#updateProperty VALUE_PROPERTY clause was unnecessarily converting the date object to a string in a format that createValue(String, int, factory) could not process properly. It now calls PropertyUtil.createValue with the actual value.
