Hi duy.vo thanks for reporting this issue. I tried to reproduce it on our demoauthor.magnolia-cms.com (Magnolia 5.4 EE) but it looks like everything is working fine.

  • deletion in the Assets app works as it supposed to: in EE once an asset is deleted you can either publish the deletion, thus making the removal permanent or restore the item. You cannot edit it any longer and that's the expected behaviour.
  • regarding the categories app, I tried with Tour categories but there's no way to reproduce the steps you mention.
Would you mind to share more details about the issue you had? Thanks.

first step, check check box asia and click delete then publish it.
second, select africa, you will se action bar, cannot delete or edit this item
third, click add category link, you will se the error in third step.png

Sorry but I can't reproduce it. Have you tried the same on our demoauthor.magnolia-cms.com?

A co-worker of mine and I tried to reproduce it also on latest demo with Magnolia 5.4.1 but weren't able to.
