The way duplicating an item currently works is confusing. There is no indication that the duplication actually happened and you have to manually hunt for the duplicate. How duplication should work:
How it works:
The duplicate is placed as sibling of the duplicated item, at the end of the list of siblings. It is not selected and might even not be visible. |

To me the messages is not so important if the item lands directly below the duplicated item. |

Yeah, we agree on that. We just add the item right below the duplicated item, select it and make sure it's visible. I think you might have misread the description or it wasn't clear enough. I didn't mean to add a message when duplication worked. |
