The (new) thumbnails in the DAM App / Chooser Dialog are loaded as variation "thumbnail" with up to 230x230px. They are resized in the browser to 19x19px, however. As most photos are not square, they are even resized to only ~13px height, which makes it really hard to guess what they are about. IMHO it would make sense to display them as large as possible in the current layout, which is 30px (=height of each row), to give the authors the best possible idea about the image. Furthermore, if the thumbnails are delivered at exactly this size (or exactly double/triple the size to display them on sharp on devices with a higher dpr as well), this would save bandwidth as well. |
