As mentioned in UI transition we start fresh with a "mock" UI, with plain Vaadin components.

  • The header layout looks like a good candidate for a HorizontalLayout
  • We prepare placeholders to plug the magnolia functionality later (pulse messages, tasks, user profile)
  • Messages & Tasks would reuse the same custom component (includes a count and caption, maybe status indicator to be clarified)
  • We focus on the find-bar design *last* (UI eventually will come from FINDBAR-1)
    • even then, we could provide "basic" styles for the TextField part
