We currently show the loading indicator (spinner) for Pulse, Favorites and the Apps screen underneath the icons. It's currently shown in gray. While I still agree with the position, I'm less sure about its visual appearance. While the white spinner on dark grey background works well on an open shell app with white background, it looks out-of-place to ugly on the green background of the Apps screen. We might want to:
