 Description

As a developer I want any app that I have created to be visible right away so that I know it worked, and can further test and develop it as quickly as possible

Configuration property /modules/ui-admincentral/config/appLauncherLayout@defaultGroup should be set to "edit" by default when Magnolia is installed.

This improvement is required to make apps truly easy to create.
6.0 is a good time to make this change, since the behaviour of the App Launcher changes.

Acceptance criteria:

  • Apps are visible in app launcher without any editing of the app launcher configuration.

creichenbach - It's clear what happens on fresh installation.

What happens during a Module update? Will the property also set to a existing installation?
No?
Yes?
Yes, but only if the property was not set so far?

cmeier If it doesn't exist yet (which was the current default), it will be set to "edit". If the property already exists, nothing will be changed.
