To reproduce: set "/modules/ui-admincentral/config/appLauncherLayout/defaultGroup" property to "edit" Log out and in again. See 3 apps added to the "edit" group on the app launcher:
Possible Solution could be to add those four apps to the "hiddenApps" configuration. https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS57/App+launcher+layout
Reason Important because this negatively impacts new Content Types feature where it is common to use the defaultGroup propertly. And it is a kind of a regression for anyone using that defaultGroup property.
