 Description

Components in headers is the feature brought in by Grid component and is typically used to host filtering controls.

We could adopt this feature to filter Grid datasets by properties. We could even apply this to TreeGrid and filter it by node path.

User story:

As an editor, I want to search for content by title, creation date, author, duration, rank, validity or any combination of properties, so that I can find my items faster.

As a developer, I want to configure searchable properties for my app myself, so that they are relevant for my users. The Find Bar does a full-text search. It serves a different use case.

Acceptance criteria:

  • Demo: JIRA-like query builder. Just the basic view.
  • Use the content tools real estate.

Team sees it as a nice-to-have and not necessary for 6.0 Release.

Filters in Grid column headers was already done in MGNLUI-4627.
