 Description

Rico's note for documentation

When to use strong or light dialogs:

  • Strong dialogs ask for data collection.
  • Light dialogs ask for quick input but do not severely interrupt the user.

When to use simple or complex dialogs:

  • Simple dialogs to collect only few data points.
  • Complex dialogs to collect larger amounts of data.

The existing Magnolia 5 UI page (https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS62/Dialog+types) can serve as an inspiration.

Page created at https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS62/Dialog+types+-+6+UI. Magnolia 5 UI page edited and cleaned up. Following note added to the top of https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS62/Overlays+and+modality:

DEPRECATED
Overlays and modality have been deprecated since Magnolia 6.1 in favor of the light property in dialog definition. All dialogs are now modal, and the difference between light and strong dialogs is only visual (the background color).

Light property updated at https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS62/Dialog+definition+-+6+UI#Dialogdefinition-6UI-Dialogproperties.
