Steps to reproduce

  • Open JCR browser,
  • inline edit a node or property
  • insert white spaces
  • ENTER

Expected results

Entered value is sanitised or even better, validation doesn't allow to save.

Actual results

Caused by: org.apache.jackrabbit.spi.commons.conversion.MalformedPathException: 'version ' is not a valid path: Trailing slashes not allowed in prefixes and names.

Workaround

Insert only valid characters.
