It would be realy great if you would see the publishing status inside a link field. It's easier to find issues if there is a missing image in the frontend.

Every link field should have the standard publishing status indicator showing the status of the linked item. This will help users with a common problem which is ensuring that all related content is also published. |

Sounds interesting. Could help in simple use cases. In more complex (scheduled publishing) cases, the target could be unpublished when creating content (as expected). But that's a bigger topic about publishing related content. |
