 Description

Current situation

When you click a column, it shows an arrow for ascending/descending sorting of that column.

  • When you click another column, sorting of the previous one is cancelled.
  • You cannot cancel this sorting (remove the arrow) with any other way than resetting.

Desired situation

As part of MGNLUI-3814 there will be the ability to preconfigure in the definition, sorting by multiple columns, defining sort order for each separately.

  • we want to be able to reset sorting in UI (currently only possible by a browser refresh)
  • we want to allow users to sort by multiple columns from UI as well as from definition.

Solution

Implement context menu in the grid/table header. Upon right mouse click show the option to reset sorting.
