 Description

Steps to reproduce:
1) set PST timezone in user preferences
2) open the pages app
Expected:
app is opened

Actual:
error is thrown, app is not working

 java.time.zone.ZoneRulesException: Unknown time-zone ID: browser

Workaround

Workaround would be to change the time zone on the user profile to one that is not abbreviated, then relogging in.

Remove the browser timezone (the server timezone will be used instead) from users or replace it with a supported timezone.

Estimated:

A] make sure only supported time zones are listed in user profile. Update task to check if users have a supported timezone configured.

B] make sure dateColumn doesn't fail on unknown timezone?

For RN:

  • unsupported  timezone can't be set from user settings anymore (apps are now prevented to fail with wrong config and also incorrect values are removed from configuration in update task)
