When mapping the templates repository via webdav, the template extension "ftl" is mapped to be executable and opened with a shell. |

Changing the association via the file's meta info can't work, because osx tries to write that information in the .DS_Store file (which we don't allow). Unfortunately, you'd need that to work to be able to then click "change all". Pro tip: change the association for one file on your machine, then "change all", and the association will indeed be changed for all files, including those on WebDAV. You could also use an app like RCDefaultApp which provides a gui to do exactly that. I'll investigate if allowing .DS_Store but silently not-creating-it would help (but that sounds like an open door for unwanted ugly side effects) |

Given the thousands of other issues we have open that are more highly requested, we won't be able to address this issue in the foreseeable future. Instead we will focus on issues with a higher impact, and more votes. |
