If activation fails only the superuser gets detailed error message. Publisher only could see in the task that the activation fails, but not what happened (for example: parent node is not activated). |

This is caused by the user passed to Syndicator is always superuser, it has another user which using mainly to log messages, so the approach to get correct user is using the requestor of context. And then sending messages to that user. |
