This task is to verify that upcoming SF Marketing Cloud changes will not affect our ability to log into SF, nor affects our demo accounts

Context

Please note, that we are using SF Marketing Cloud for login purposes in order to access SF services. We do not have a connector to SF Marketing Cloud (see Wiki).

 

From SF Marketing Cloud Partners

Salesforce is in the process of retiring various legacy editions of the ExactTarget Marketing Cloud in December 2022, and all editions have been repackaged to improve utilization tracking. SSI Editions are based on legacy technology and packaging and are no longer supported. We identified that your company has at least one MID on a legacy edition, and we want to ensure your demonstration and development won’t be affected. Please review the information below on how to upgrade your edition.
What you need to know: * The end of legacy edition renewals began in June 2022, meaning all legacy edition contracts with an end date (renewal date) after June need to request an upgrade before the contract end date or it will expire. IMPORTANT NOTE: MID data for expired contracts is purged the following month.
  • In December 2022, all "SSI Partners Editions" (accounts provided before July 2020) will be retired. All accounts in this edition that have not been upgraded will expire and data will be purged.
  • Even if your account is not an SSI Partner Edition, you have a legacy edition that must be upgraded by 12/31/22

Action required - please follow these steps:
Log a case in the Partner Community Help to request your free upgrade ASAP:

  1. Access the Salesforce Help and click on the 'Contact Support' tab.
  • Select your partner org from the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner.
  • Case Topic & Product: enter ‘Demo & Partner Business Orgs’
  • Case Subject: enter 'Upgrade our Legacy Partner Marketing Cloud Demo/Dev Account'
  • Case Description: Please include the following:
    • Your MID
    • Billing Information for the contract (Contact Name, Contact Email, Contact Phone, Billing Address)
    • DocuSign Contact (Name, email) to receive the $0 order form

Please note that you will not lose any MIDs, data, or users as long as you renew before your contract end date.
