 Description

There was an earlier attempt to use beta5 in MLEARN-18, but it had to be reverted because of the following issue: https://github.com/eclipse/deeplearning4j/issues/8217

Meaning we currently run beta4, don't really benefit from beta6, but it would be nice to get the memory improvements advertised with beta5. They're not enough on their own but should help until beta7 comes out.

should this be mentioned in the release notes mmichel?

No, this doesn't have an impact any bigger than any other library upgrade as far as I'm concerned. The real work for this issue happened elsewhere.
